10,000 Women Goldman Sachs Scholarships in Abuja

The Goldman Sachs (GS) 10,000 Women Initiative was launched three (3) years ago and was aimed at empowering 10,000 Women in developing and emerging economies across the world. In Nigeria, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Initiative in collaboration with Pan-African University have trained over 150 women under this scholarship which includes a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management (CEM) and follow up services such as business advisory, consulting clinics, and mentoring. The scholarship opportunity has just recently been extended to the deserving business women in the Northern region of Nigeria. The CEM program will kick off in Abuja on the 3rd of May. International Trade Centre Access! Women Exporter’s Program

The International Trade Centre (ITC) Access! Initiative is collaborating with EDC, Pan-African University in a regional effort aimed at strengthening the capacity of women entrepreneurs in West Africa region. In Nigeria, the scholarship includes a one week intensive export readiness program and follow up services. How to become an SME Toolkit Training Partner in Nigeria!

The second round of SME Toolkit training partners will be selected shortly. Applications will be received and shortlisted candidates will be requested to attend a selection interview.  The selection criteria will include the following:

  • Current engagement in training / support services to SMEs
  • Ability to train at least 100 SME Toolkit users in the first year
  • Ability to provide quarterly contents on SME toolkit related activity in your area

Also, selected candidates will

  • Undergo an intensive 3 day Training of Trainers (TOT) program
  • Participate in the SME Toolkit conference organized during the Global Entrepreneurship Week i.e. 14 - 20 November, 2011
  • Be provided with SME Toolkit CDs for offline training conducted
